Hellloooooooo everyone!
Hope y'all's weeks are getting off to a good start! It has been almost a year since my last post. I absolutely cannot believe it has been not only a year, but the craziest, most emotional, most fun, growing, changing year of my life. And I can't wait to tell you about it.
BUT FIRST,
an announcement.
(excuse the cheesiness and bear with me)
Two years ago, I started Preperella as a summer project to cure my boredom. I didn't realize that this small hobby would bring me the amazing friends and opportunities that it did. As my senior year came to a close and I was preparing for my freshman year in college, I was having a sort of mid-life crisis at 17. Honestly y'all, the main reason that I haven't posted in forever (other than being so so busy at school) is that I felt like I was growing out of the name. That and the fact I was just busy living my life and finding myself and everything else that comes with your freshman year of college. I really just didn't have the time or money to invest in redesigning my whole site. I have been thinking about doing this since last summer and it's finally happening!
Introducing AshleeAlan.com!
If you're still here with me, head on over to AshleeAlan.com and embark on this new journey with me! It's a little bit of a mess right now, but bear with me for a little bit. Switch your Bloglovin subscription here!
I'm just really excited to start blogging over at Ashlee Alan and hope every one of you can join me there. I chose the name Ashlee Alan because it's something that I won't grow out of, my name isn't changing anytime soon #foreversingle. Even if that is the case Alan is my middle name so it doesn't matter anyways.
Along with that, I chose Ashlee Alan because it symbolizes me being comfortable with myself enough to not care about what others think. As dumb as it sounds, I used to absolutely HATE my middle name. It was a guy name, it was dumb, whatever. In middle school, my friends used to call me Alan just because they knew it would annoy me like nothing else. I've grown to love it though, it's unique. A similar thing has happened with my blogging. I used to be scared to death of people I knew afinding my blog. At school this year, I told a lot of people that I had a blog. Everyone thought it was really cool. One of my best friends, Hannah, even decided to start her own! You can check it out here! Make sure to comment and say that I sent you. :) After playing around with that, I decided to take my camera hiking one day with my best friends and tell them I was gonna make a YouTube video... Now everytime we go out, they tell me to bring my camera!
So with all that, I would like to say thank you so much for supporting me for two years now! Hope to see all of you guys over at Ashlee Alan!
XOXO Ash
